In this episode of the Intersection, B, Linda and Jo are joined by a special guest. Our guest for the Pride Month episode is Mac Cross. Mac goes by they them, and they are gracious enough to share their story and vulnerability with us and with all of you.

Mac is an RN, works at the U of A Hospital and specializes in Mental Health. In this episode, Mac shares a very powerful, gut-wretching, and hopeful yet complicated story about their journey of being part of the LGBTQ Community.

Mac talks about what Pride is, and why Pride is important. They discussed the systematic inequities that exist, that continue to hinder the LGBTQ+ people's right to exist and to be and feel safe. Linda, Jo, B, and Mac discuss the intersectionality of identities and how they affect the treatment received from society and the world and the privileges they enjoy.

Mac provided some much-needed advice to Cis people on what to do or not, say or not to the People of the Queer Community. Linda, Jo, and B would like to wish the Queer community and People, Happy Pride! You are Seen and we will stand by you. Mac, we are immensely grateful. Allyship is showing up, and ensuring the rights of the Queer Community are fought for and protected.
